Mike’s body has now been recovered. Both Brian and Denise are in jail! Justice will be served as soon as Denise is sentenced!

They announced it the day after Brian Winchester received a reduced sentence by the judge: 20 years for pleading nolo contendre on three charges. He could have gotten 40 years. FDLE didn’t say how they learned where Mike was buried, everyone guesses Brian sang like bird for a reduced sentence.

All this time, 17 years to be more precise, Mike’s mom felt his presence and hoped he was alive. But what she felt was him telling her he was near: buried in a remote area @ 5 miles from where Cheryl lives. Now Cheryl lives for justice for Mike and hopefully a reunion with Mike’s daughter Anslee.

How many people did it take to simultaneously transport and bury his body deep enoughbto not be found at 1 location, while others got his shotgun from his office at work, and took it and his boat, and truck about 50 miles away to pplant as evidence at Lake Seminole?

I’m so sorry I’m just now seeing your comment! I’ve neglected my website while finishing Hyde and Seek. Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. As hard as losing Mom has been, I can’t imagine losing my husband. Prayers to your cousin and to you. And to lose her brother as well! I’ve gone through that, and it’s awful. As for your mom, I am so sorry. Not being with her when she died was one of my greatest fears. She went into cardiac arrest in the nursing home, and altho they did revive her at the hospital and she was technically alive, I think she was long gone. So I understand where you’re coming from, and I’m so sorry. I hope you are doing well and surrounded by people who will help you through!

When I was young I dated a girl whose father went to this church, and made his family go with him, so I was famiiar with Summerford and would sometimes go just to be with my girlfriend because she wasn’t yet allowed to go on dates….however I always sat as far in the back as I coud get. I never understood it neither, but I’ll be the first to admit that I saw things happen there that were beyond rational explanation.

One night, for example, I witnessed a woman get bitten by a copperhead snake! She fell out on the floor, and in my young mind iwas thinking, “I guess someone has called an ambulance”, but an ambulance never showed up and this lady eventually rose to her feet and started dancing around and handling snakes again! So in my rational mind I was telling myself that she didn’t really get bitten, so after the snakes were put away I went up and asked the lady if I could see her hand, and when she presented her hand indeed there were the 2 holes where the fangs had entered her skin with blood running from them!

Still wasn’t enough to convince me that God intended for us to handle snakes. I’ll quote another man I heard one time when speaking about snake handling, “The good Lord might tell me to pick up a snake, but I guarantee you I will kill it first!”

We all go through these difficult times and it doesn’t seem like we can make it, but somehow we do, even if it is only by the grace of God.

OMG, I am so very sorry. There is no pain like losing a child. My mother lost two sons, but they were adults. I cannot imagine something happening to my daughter. I’m glad you have found support and solace despite the tragedy and hatefulness you’ve dealt with.
